Indoor current-limiting fuse is an overload and short-circuit protection device for low-voltage power distribution systems (AC 380V/DC 440V and below). It achieves fault current limitation (current limiting ratio of 1:10) through the fast-fusing characteristics of the fuse (silver/copper alloy) (operation time <10ms). Its core consists of a fuse tube (ceramic/glass fiber reinforced material), an arc-extinguishing medium (quartz sand) and an indicator mechanism. It has the characteristics of high breaking capacity (up to 120kA), compact size (60% smaller than circuit breakers) and maintenance-free. It is mainly used in power distribution cabinets, UPS systems and new energy equipment protection, in accordance with IEC 60269 standards. The latest technological developments include intelligent fuses (with fault signal output) and DC-specific types (photovoltaic/energy storage system applications).
