Global Hydric Internal Combustion Engine Market Growth 2026-2032
Description
The global Hydric Internal Combustion Engine market size is predicted to grow from US$ million in 2025 to US$ million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of %from 2026 to 2032.
Hydric internal combustion engine is a type of hydrogen vehicle that uses an internal combustion engine to burn hydrogen as fuel, similar to gasoline or diesel engines. HICE vehicles are different from hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs), which use electrochemical conversion of hydrogen to generate electricity for an electric motor. HICE is a modified version of a traditional spark-ignition engine that can run on pure hydrogen or a blend of hydrogen and other fuels. The main advantage of using hydrogen as a fuel is that it does not produce carbon dioxide (CO2), the main greenhouse gas emission of conventional engines. Hydrogen also has a high energy density and can be produced from renewable sources, such as water electrolysis or biomass gasification.
