A broadband time-domain terahertz spectrometer is a device used to measure and analyze electromagnetic waves in the terahertz frequency band (1 terahertz=10 ^ 12 Hz). The principle of broadband time-domain terahertz spectrometer is based on time-domain Spectroscopy. It uses a terahertz pulse laser source to generate a wideband terahertz pulse signal and send it to the sample. After the interaction between the sample and the terahertz signal, the reflected or transmitted signal generated is captured by the terahertz detector. By measuring the time delay and amplitude information of the terahertz signal, and then undergoing Fourier transform processing, the frequency domain spectrum of the sample in the terahertz frequency band can be obtained. The broadband time-domain terahertz spectrometer has the following characteristics and advantages: broadband measurement capability: it can measure broadband terahertz signals, usually covering the frequency range from hundreds of hertz to several terahertz, allowing the spectral characteristics of the sample to be comprehensively measured and analyzed. High temporal resolution: The broadband time-domain terahertz spectrometer has high temporal resolution and can measure the transient pulse characteristics of terahertz signals, making it very useful for the study of fast dynamic processes. Non contact measurement: It can be measured under non-contact conditions without the need for the detector to directly contact the surface of the sample, making it suitable for measuring and analyzing sensitive samples. High sensitivity: The broadband time-domain terahertz spectrometer has high sensitivity, which can detect weak terahertz signals and provide accurate spectral information.
