The global ADAS for Commercial Vehicle market size is predicted to grow from US$ 350 million in 2025 to US$ 471575157460 million in 2031; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3222.7% from 2025 to 2031.
Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are technologies that assist drivers with the safe operation of a vehicle. Through a human-machine interface, ADAS increase car and road safety. ADAS use automated technology, such as sensors and cameras, to detect nearby obstacles or driver errors, and respond accordingly. ADAS can enable various levels of autonomous driving. ADAS for Commercial Vehicle primarily aims to help drivers avoid accidents or mitigate unavoidable collisions so the least amount of damage is done.
Commercial Vehicles with ADAS have features that can send warning notifications to the driver, such as: Lane-keeping assist: An audio signal warns that the driver has started to veer into another lane. The signal might also be accompanied by a visual and a nudge or vibration of the steering wheel. Blind-spot monitoring: An alert sounds when the driver signals to change lanes with another vehicle in a blind spot alongside the truck. Adaptive cruise control: Like cruise control functions of the past, this feature keeps the truck set to travel at the selected speed, but it also detects and reacts to changes in traffic patterns. When a vehicle ahead is driving too slowly for a safe distance, it automatically decelerates the truck to adapt. Rear cross-traffic monitoring: An alert warns the driver if the truck is backing up with another vehicle approaching the rear. Pedestrian detection: A signal warns the driver when a pedestrian is walking ahead of the vehicle. This feature might also actuate the brake, causing the truck to decelerate automatically. Accident avoidance: A signal warns the driver when the truck is approaching a vehicle that is decelerating or driving too slowly for the heavy truck to maintain a safe distance. This is another feature that might actuate the brake, preventing a collision by automatically reducing speed. In addition, trucks are the prominent mode of transporting cargo in North America. Sources indicate that approximately 70% of the freight is carried across the US by trucks. Thus, ADASs that positively impact the safety of road commutes will find significant uptake in the US trucking industry. Since these aids in safer commuting, strong government support is likely to positively impact the growth of the advanced driver assistance systems for the market. Such factors are expected to drive the regional market during the forecast period.
