"FR" refers to using single-mode fiber to achieve a transmission distance of 2 kilometers, while "LR" refers to single-mode fiber that can reach transmission distances of 10 kilometers. As the 400G OSFP DR4 optical module utilizes 100G PAM4 and has a maximum transmission distance of 500 meters, it is suitable for 150 to 500 meters 400G-100G network connections. The 400G OSFP DR4 optical module can be connected to four 100G DR4 optical modules on the other end using a 12-fiber MTP to 4LC duplex breakout patch cable.
