What We Saw: U.S. Consumer and Office Print Activity, 2Q23
This IDC Market Perspective provides an update on office and consumer printer shipment activity in the second quarter of 2023 for the United States."In the second quarter, hardcopy peripherals vendors finally saw an end to the supply chain crisis. Some vendors still experienced erratic shipment patterns at the category or model family level that suggest isolated supply chain problems remain, but overall supply was sufficient to meet demand for the first time in two years. However, some of the anticipated pent-up demand failed to materialize as some customers - especially consumers and SMBs - delayed device purchases in light of an uncertain economic outlook." - Geoffrey Wilbur, research manager, Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions at IDC
