Japan Private Cloud Forecast, 2023–2027
This IDC Market Forecast summarizes the results of qualitative and quantitative analyses of the Japan private cloud market, based on information collected through early September 2023."Traditionally, private clouds have been deployed in silos to optimize individual systems by taking advantage of the inheritance of past assets. However, user companies are increasingly interested in distributed clouds, in which cloud environments are managed in an integrated manner and deployment models are chosen based on the characteristics of each workload in the right place, and are beginning to rethink their architectures toward a cloud-native orientation. Vendors need to develop their private cloud offerings with a cloud-native orientation and enhance new value propositions such as enabling automation and supporting the use of data/AI," says Satoshi Matsumoto, research director, Software and Services at IDC Japan.
