This IDC study provides market shares for the U.S. consumer fixed broadband market for full-year 2021."The large capital expenditures to expand fiber networks by telcos are starting to pay off as subscriber numbers grew slightly in 2021 at AT&T and Verizon," said Jason Blackwell, research director, Consumer Communications and SMB Communications Services at IDC. "Toward the end of the year, we also saw evidence of growth for the fixed wireless services, which will start to make a bigger impact in 2022."
