The New Cloudera Platform: Lead, Disrupt, Capitalize, and Drive
This IDC Market Note presents highlights from Cloudera's annual industry analyst conference. Emerging in a complex world of hybrid data management are new data platforms that handle multiple types of data, support batch and streaming analytics, and provide access to the masses of data required for machine learning and artificial intelligence, regardless of where and how the data is stored. "At the core of these new platforms is intelligence that answers the five Ws (the who, what, when, where, and why) and how of data and discovering relationships within the data," says Stewart Bond, director of Data Integration and Integrity Software research at IDC. "Cloudera is transitioning beyond Hadoop into a data platform software vendor, placing data intelligence at the core, competing to lead in machine learning for the enterprise, disrupt the data warehouse for analytical workloads, capitalize on the move to cloud computing, and drive platform innovation to simplify complex data environments."
