The main raw materials for cockpit displays include display panels (LCD/OLED/Mini LED), touch modules, glass substrates, polarizers, driver ICs, flexible printed circuit boards (FPCs), structural components, and optical components. The display module alone accounts for approximately 35% of the total material cost, while driver chips, PCBs, and structural components together account for about 50%. Therefore, the "screen + chip + board" combination determines the bulk of the overall cost. In the past two years, the prices of upstream wafers, SOCs, FPCAs, etc. have generally increased. Automotive screen manufacturers have tried to alleviate the pressure by locking in prices, localizing the supply chain, and scaling up production. However, raw materials still account for more than 60% of the total cost of the machine. In addition, automotive-grade reliability testing and yield loss ultimately make the cockpit screen account for more than 40% of the incremental cost of smart cockpits.
