The DC power supply system of the data center is a power supply solution designed to meet the stable and efficient power consumption needs of various equipment in the data center. It mainly includes two power supply methods: uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and high-voltage direct current (HVDC). These two methods have their own characteristics and advantages in the power supply of data centers. UPS is a constant voltage and constant frequency uninterruptible power supply with an energy storage device and an inverter as the main component. When the mains power is normal, it supplies power to the load and charges the built-in battery at the same time; when the mains power is interrupted (accidental power outage), the UPS immediately switches the DC power of the built-in battery to the load through the inverter switching conversion method to continue to supply 220V AC power to the load, so that the load maintains normal operation and protects the load software and hardware from damage. HVDC converts AC power into high-voltage DC power through a rectifier, and then directly supplies power to the load of the data center. It generally uses a DC voltage level of 240V or 336V, and distributes power to each load through a DC distribution system. In the actual DC power supply system of the data center, UPS and HVDC can be used in coordination according to the scale, load characteristics, construction cost and other factors of the data center. For example, UPS can be used to power key core equipment to ensure the highest level of power supply guarantee; while for some non-core equipment that is more sensitive to cost and energy consumption, HVDC can be used to power supply to reduce operating costs. At the same time, through reasonable power management and monitoring systems, the advantages of the two power supply methods can be complemented to improve the reliability and efficiency of the entire data center power supply system.
