Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and Strathmore are planning to undertake the construction of a Strathmore Square Mixed-Use Development project in North Bethesda, Maryland, the US.
The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex on 6ha of land. It will include the construction of five buildings with 550 residential units, 557m2 of ground-floor retail, a parking garage of 412-space, public parks, tree-lined walkway, and the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.
Fivesquares Development has been appointed as the associated developer and Perkins Eastman DC as architect for the project.
In November 2013, WMATA issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the third time to appoint developer for the project.
