The project involves the construction of a data center with a gross floor area (GFA) of 278,709m2 on 405ha of land. The project will be developed in seven phases.
The first phase known as SuperNap Tahoe Reno 1 includes the construction of data center with a 74,322m2 GFA.
It includes the construction of an office space, a large energy center, server rooms and administrative space, and the installation of safety and security systems.
Bluescope Construction has been appointed as contractor and F&P Construction as excavation contractor.
In second quarter of 2015, Excavation and grading works on the first phase commenced.
In August 2015, groundbreaking ceremony held for the first phase.
In the first quarter of 2017, construction works on the first phase completed.
Planning activities on next phase are underway. Construction works on the total campus is expected to be completed in five to 10 years.
