Spire Realty Group, LP (Spire) is planning to construct a mixed-use complex in Austin, Travis County, Texas, the US.
The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex with 111483.6m2 floor area on 13ha of land of seven story office buildings. It includes the construction of four-story residential buildings with 375 units, 78,968m2 office space, 9,290m2 of retail space, 2ha of parkland, parking and related facilities.
Drenner Group has been appointed as legal advisor, Bury as technical consultant and WDG Architecture Dallas, PLLC and Farr Associates as architect for the project. designSTUDIO has been appointed as design consultant.
In October 2013, Spire purchased the project site for US$51 million from Austin Oaks Ltd, an entity formed by Riverside Resources Inc.
On July 16, 2014, Spire submitted a rezoning application to the city council. In May 2015, Spire has downsized the density of the original plan.
In January 2016, revised designs were unveiled.
In April 2016, Spire submitted third Planned Unit Development (PUD) proposal.
On November 1, 2016, Spire secured Zoning and Platting Commission (ZAP) approvals for the project.
On December 15, 2016, project secured initial approvals from the Austin City Council.
In April 2017, Spire secured final approvals from Austin City Council.
