Somerset Development LLC (Somerset), in a joint venture partnership with Ingerman, is planning to undertake the mixed-use complex at the Aberdeen Township, New Jersey, the US.

The project involves the demolition of existing factory and the construction of mixed-use facilities comprising residential, retail and leisure facilities.

The project will include the construction of 500 townhouses and rental apartments, a community center, pool, neighborhood park, 6,967m 2 of retail space, an 110-room hotel and a movie theater.

The project includes residential and commercial parking, landscaping, lighting and grading and drainage improvements.

The project will be developed in phases.

The first phase includes 256 apartment units, 1,115m2 of retail space and other related facilities.

The second phase includes remaining 244 apartment units, 6,388m2 of retail space and other related facilities.

The hotel part will be built in the first phase if an operator is secured.

Yannuzzi Group Inc has been appointed as the demolition contractor.

In August 2013, Aberdeen Planning Board voted to grant preliminary approvals for the redevelopment of the site.

On April 13, 2015, Somerset submitted the site plans to Aberdeen Township for approval.

In April 2016, demolition and site preparatory works commenced.

Demolition works are nearing completion.

Scope

The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities at the former Anchor Glass manufacturing site in the Cliffwood section of the Aberdeen Township, New Jersey, the US.

The US$250 million project includes the following:
