SoWiTec Group is planning to develop an Azov Wind Farm project at Azov City in Rostov region, Russia.
The project involves the construction of a 90MW wind farm, the installation of wind turbines, transformers, converters, and electric feeder and power controlling systems and the laying of transmission lines.
The project will be implemented in stages and start with Vetromonitoring. This process will take between 6 to 12 months, and the another building stage take 1.5 to 2 years.
In September 2012, SoWiTec Group signed an agreement with Rostov government to develop the project and in November 2012, the project site selected.
Sovitek Rus a subsidiary of SoWiTec Group is planning to undertake the construction works on the project.
SoWiTec rented a 1.5 ha area for wind-monitoring, to measure the strength of wind at different heights from 40 to 100 m, and confirmed that the conditions were favorable for the project, the efficiency a minimum average power of the air flow for wind farms should be 4m/s where the project's efficiency is up to 7.5 m/s.
In September 2014, wind monitoring activities are finished.
As of October 2014, the location of the project is favorable so SoWiTec Group is planning to lease a 150ha area to commence the construction works of the project.
In Feb 2017, the regional administration signed an order to lease a 133ha of land for the project implementation.
SoWiTec Group is in search of co-investor to implement the project.
The project involves the construction of a 90MW wind farm at Azov City in Rostov region of Russia.

1. Installation of 80 wind turbines
2. Installation of transformers
3. Installation of converters
4. Installation of electric feeder system
5. Installation of power controlling systems
