Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB), through its subsidiary SPNB Mesra Sdn Bhd (SPNB Mesra), is planning to undertake a residential township in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.
The project involves the construction of a township comprising 5,000 dwellings on 202ha of land. It includes the construction of a community centre, retail units, parking and other related facilities.
On April 22, 2014, Platinum JV Developments Sdn Bhd (PJVD) was acknowledged as principal developer for the project.
In December 2014, SPNB and PJVD submitted a development plan to the Ministry of Finance for approval.
In October 2016, Ministry of Finance said it will allocate US$48 million to SPNB and US$4,786 per unit (US$24 million) as the subsidy for the development of the project.
In March 2017, SPNB secured approvals for 192 units to be built in the Bukit Gantang parliamentary constituency.
