The Renaissance Group (RG), through its African land business, Rendeavor Ltd, is planning to undertake the construction of Appolonia Mixed-use Development project in Greater Accra region, Ghana.
The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities on 800ha of land in Kpone-Katamanso. The project will include construction of single bedroom, double bedroom, commercial buildings, industrial offices, institutional offices and recreational parks.
The project is planned to be developed in four phases.
Nova Ridge, a residential enclave will be developed under the first phase.
Multicad Consultancy and DLC Group have been appointed as PMC contractors, Rianadu Plessis and Jaska Barbir as planning and design contractors for the project.
Scientific Aquatic Services has been appointed as environmental planning and management contractor, LEO consulting as civil and electrical engineer, Stratcomm as communication and marketing consultant for the project.
FJ Loock Land Surveyors and GDS have been appointed as land surveyors for the project.
On July 9, 2014, the court dismissed the application by local residents against the project.
In September 2014, Best and Crompton Engineering Ghana Ltd and GKL Ghana Ltd were appointed to undertake electrical and road works within the first phase of the project.
In July 2016, Crownhouse Logistics and Construction was appointed as a civil engineering contractor for construction of 2.5km internal roads. The scope of the work includes demolition works, site clearance, earthworks, and concrete works in U-Drains and culverts.
On August 2, 2017, Rendeavor announced its plans to undertake construction of 100 affordable homes in a partnership with Ghana Home Loans. Construction to commence in the third quarter of 2017, with construction due for completion within 18 months.
