Repsol S.A. (REP) and PT Pertamina (Pertamina) are jointly planning to undertake the construction of a Treated Distillate Aromatic Extract (TDAE) Plant at Refinery Unit IV, Cilacap, Indonesia.
The project involves the construction of a chemical plant with a production capacity of 60,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA) of aromatic extracts. It includes construction of storage facilities, distribution units, administration space and related facilities, installation of process machinery, safety and security systems.
In January 2016, REP and Pertamina signed an agreement to study the project's technical viability.
On September 21, 2016, Pertamina and Repsol Lubricantres & Especialidades SA, a subsidiary of REP signed an heads of agreement (HoA) contract.
Planning activities are underway. Construction works are scheduled to be completed by 2019.
