Port of Centralia (PoC) is planning to undertake the construction of a commercial complex in Lewis, Washington, the US.
The project involves the construction of commercial facilities on 20.23ha of land.
The project will include the construction of 3,716m2 of retail space, 3,716m2 of tech warehouse space, 3,716m2 space for Centralia College facilities, 2,787m2 of medical facilities, sports facility on 4ha of land, parking space and related infrastructure facilities.
The infrastructure facility works are being implemented in two phases. The first phase involves the construction of a storm water facility on Long Road and the second phase includes the construction of waste water facilities and road works.
ECONorthwest has been appointed as study consultant.
OSG Dozing LLC, has been appointed as a contractor for the infrastructure works.
On October 16, 2014, ground breaking ceremony was held on the project site and the excavation work began.
In December 2014, construction works on the first phase of infrastructure facility were completed.
In October 2016, ECONorthwest completed the study outlining the potential economic impacts of the project.
Construction works on storm-water facility are underway and construction is expected to commence in 2017.
