The project will replace the three blocks (800, 900 and 1,000) of a commercial strip with a mixed-use complex. It will be implemented in phases and 800 block is considered as the first phase of the project.
On June 6, 2014, Pinnacle submitted a preliminary planning application to the city council. The planning application is to be reviewed by the Planning Commission, Minneapolis City Council.
In April 2016, Pinnacle submitted Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Grant application to the Hennepin County.
In May 2016, Pinnacle requested the city council an exclusive development rights for a period of 24 months for the three blocks in order to secure project financing. Pinnacle will pay holding costs of US$2,000 per lot per year.
