PT Jasa Marga (PTJM) and PT Jasa Sarana (PTJS), in partnership with a joint venture company PT Marga Sarana Jabar (PTMSJ), is planning to underake the construction of Bogor Outer Ring Road (BORR) in Indonesia.

The project involves the construction of an 11km road and is being executed in three sections.

The first section stretches 3.7km and connects southern Sentul with Kedunghalang, second section stretches 3.95km and connects Kedunghalang with Simpang Yasmin, and the third section stretches connects Simpang Yasmin to Salabenda-Parung.

The second segment connecting Kedunghalang and Simpang Yasmin intersection is divided into two sub-segments. The first IIA segment stretches 1.95km, while the second IIB segment stretches 2km.

About 70% of the funding is being provided by three banks, PT Bank Mandiri, PT Bank Nasional Indonesia, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia. Bank Mandiri will provide maximum funds, lending US$47.7 million. Jasa Marga will invest nearly US$51 million.

PT Wijaya Karya Tbk has been appointed as General contractor for the project.

DYWIDAG Ltd has been appointed as geo-technical consultant, PT Eskapindo Matra as architect, PT Delta Systech as sub-contractor, Wiecon Co. Ltd as Consulting engineer.

In March 2008, construction work on the first section commenced and completed in November 2009.

In December 2012, construction work on the second section commenced and completed construction of IIA segment in May 2014.

In January 2016, Bogor Municipal Government was in the process of land acquisition for the construction of IIB segment of the second section.

planning activities on section III are underway. Construction works are underway on the IIB and is slated to complete by the second quarter of 2018.

The entire project is expected to be completed by 2020.

Scope

The project involves the construction of an 11km ring road in Bogor, Indonesia.

The US$169 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a 3.7km road connecting southern Sentul with Kedunghalang under first section

2. Construction of a 3.95km road connecting Kedunghalang with Simpang Yasmin under second section

3. Construction of a 3.2km road connecting Simpang Yasmin with Dramaga under third section

4. Construction of toll station

5. Installation of lights, sign board, and signals
