Office National des Chemins de Fer (ONCF) is undertaking the construction of a high-speed railway line from Marrakech to Agadir in Morocco.
The project involves the laying of a 320km railway line, the construction of railway stations, platforms, access roads and parking facilities, and the installation of signaling and security systems.
On June 20, 2016, ONCF signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) agreement with China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC). As per the agreement, CRCC will help ONCF to complete the technical study activities.
In February 2017 first study report was presented.
Construction is expected to be commenced in the fourth quarter of 2018.
