Navasota Energy Services LLC (Navasota) Quantum Utility Generation, LLC (Quantum) are planning to undertake the construction of a gas-fired power plant in Wilson County, Texas, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 582MW simple-cycle gas-fired electric generating plant on 21ha of land. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation and related infrastructure, the installation of three (GE 7FA )181MW gas-fired turbines, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
General Electric was awarded a contract to supply GE 7FA turbines.
On June 20, 2014, Navasota filed for an air permit.
In May 2015, Quantum has joined Navasota to help in finance and construction of the plant.
