National University Hospital (S) Pte Ltd (NUH) is undertaking the construction of Center for Oral Health Building project along Lower Kent Ridge Road in Singapore.
The project involves the construction of 11-story, 34,000m2 integrated oral healthcare facility. It will include the construction of patient amenity spaces, lecture halls, classrooms, library, social spaces and related facilities.
The project will be funded by Singapore government and an amount of US$40 million will be provided by the Faculty of Dentistry.
Kahler Slater, Inc and CIAP Architects Pte Ltd have been appointed to provide the master plan, site feasibility study services including revised programming, site planning and concept design; Langdon and Seah Singapore Pte Ltd has been appointed as project management contractor; Architects 61, B+H Architects and Ennead architects as design consultants; and RPI Quantity as Quantity Surveyor for the project.
Arcadis has been appointed as a consultant.
On April 20, 2015, NUH issued a request for proposal (RFP) for erection of an 11-story main building with a basement comprising ancillary offices, car park, M&E plant and basement tunnel connection to existing main building and partial demolition of existing service block, with a submission deadline of June 15, 2015. Obayashi Singapore has been appointed as the construction contractor.
ZAP Piling Pte. Ltd was appointed as a piling contractor for the project and Arcadis as a consultant.
On September 21, 2015, groundbreaking ceremony was held at the project site, marking the start of piling works.
Construction works are underway and are scheduled to be completed in 2019.
