The National highway Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to undertake the Icchapuram to Rajahmundry Highway Upgrade project in Andhra Pradesh, India.

The project includes the construction of six-lane road, supporting walls, carriageways, service roads, road separators, pedestrian ways and toll stations, and the installation of street lights.

Icchapuram-Srikakulam-Anandapuram section will be considered as the first priority for the project implementation. The Vishakhapatnam-Ankapalli-Rajahmundry section will be considered once the prior section is completed.

The proposed highway section will be executed on build, operate and transfer (BOT) toll basis under design-build finance operate transfer (DBFOT) pattern in NHDP Phase V.

In October 2009, NHAI issued request for qualification (RFQ) for the project with December 15, 2009, as submission deadline.

In December 2009, NHAI extended the submission deadline to December 31, 2009. Later, the submission deadline was extended to March 1, 2010. On February 18, 2010, the RFQ was cancelled.
