The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to upgrade the Chandikhole to Paradeep Highway in Odisha, India.
The project involves the six-laning of 76.618km highway. It includes the construction of 14 major bridges with 11 vehicular and 16 cattle/pedestrian underpasses, a 54.53km service road with one toll plaza and 53 bus bays.
The project is planned to be implemented through public-private partnership (PPP) mode on build, own, transfer (BOT) basis under design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) model.
Meinhardt Group has been appointed as feasibility study consultant.
On March 3, 2012, request for proposal (RFP) was issued to 33 prequalified bidders with a submission deadline of May 9, 2012. However the submission deadline was extended to May 30, 2012.
On May 31, 2012, the earlier bidding process was cancelled and RFP was re-issued with a submission deadline of June 29, 2012.
The RFP released on June 2016 was also cancelled.
In February 2017, NHAI is in the process of preparing the detailed project report.
On August 10, 2017, NHAI issued a tender for the appointment of a safety consultant for the project with a submission date of September 11, 2017.
