The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is undertaking the development of Single Living Accommodation project at HM Naval Base Clyde in Scotland, the UK.
The project involves the construction of 750 single living accommodation units and refurbishment of other homes in Neptune. It will include the construction of new homes, a retail facility, parking, water and sewage facilities, and other related infrastructure facilities.
The project is planned to be developed in phases, the final accommodation blocks will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2020.
In October 2011, the MoD issued pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) to contractors for construction of the project with November 21, 2011 as the submission date.
In August 2013, Carillion Plc (CLLN) was appointed as the main contractor with a contract value worth US$49 million.
JM Architects has been appointed as the design architect.
In September 2014, CLLN submitted proposals to build additional 156 single living accommodation cabins at HM Naval Base Clyde to Argyll & Bute District Council.
Campbell & Kennedy has been appointed as Electrical contractor for the project.
In October 2016, 72 units has been completed.
Construction works are underway.
