Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is planning to redevelop the Moonee Valley Racecourse in Victoria, Australia.

The project involves the construction of 2,000 homes including apartment towers reaching up to 20 stories on the western and north-east edges of the racecourse site on 48ha of land and is planned to be developed in phases.

The project includes the construction of residential towers, townhouses, commercial facilities, community facilities, a new grandstand and parking facilities, and the upgrade of racetrack.

In 2010, master planning work commenced.

The project team includes: Tract Consultants as planning, landscape design and Urban design consultants; Charter Keck Cramer as project management consultants and Property Advisers; Plus Architecture as Design and master planning consultant; Populous as Grandstand design consultant; ASR Research as Community Infrastructure consultant; ARUP Consultants as Environmental consultant; Dalton Consulting Engineers as Civil Engineers; GTA Consultants as Traffic Engineers; and Lovell Chen as Heritage Architects.

In September 2014, the Victorian state government granted approval for 2,000 homes in 20 story residential towers. However, in March 2015, the plans were revised due to height related issues. The changes have been approved by the Ministry of Planning.

In May 2016, MVRC was submitted planning applications for the northwest precinct of the development first, which includes 28 townhouses and 400 apartments.

The rest of the developments closing the racetrack and demolishing the grandstand would stat in 2020.

MVRC is in the process of appointing a developer for the development of the project.
