Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Ltd (MPRDC) is undertaking the upgradate of Dewas Bypass road in Madhya Pradesh, India.
The project involves the widening and upgrade of 19.8km of Dewas Bypass road from Ujjain Dewas Junction to Indore Junction. It includes the construction of road separators, bridges, culverts, road intersections, interchanges, drains, and the installation of lighting, signalling and safety systems.
On April 13, 2016, MPRDC issued the request for qualifications (RFQ) for the project on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis with a submission deadline of May 11, 2016. The deadline further extended to October 1, 2016.
On February 27, 2017, Dewas Bypass Tollway Private Ltd, (DBTP) a wholly-owned subsidiary of IJM Corporation Bhd (IJM) was appointed as the BOT contractor for the project.
On March 17, 2017, MPRDC issued tenders to appoint Independent Engineer for the project on Design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) with a submission deadline of April 20, 2017.
Construction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2019.
