The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) is developing the Chadin II hydroelectric power plant project in Peru.
The project consists of the construction of a hydropower plant with a generation capacity of 600MW, a powerhouse, a 175m dam, a reservoir, a substation and other related infrastructure, installation of turbines, generators and other related equipment, and the laying of transmission lines.
The project was announced in the third quarter of 2013.
AC Energía SA, part of the Brazilian multinational group Odebrecht, is the associate developer of the project.
The project is awaiting the approvals.
