State Farm Insurance (State Farm) and KDC Real Estate Development (KDC) joint venture is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use complex in Georgia, the US.
The project involves the construction of three 20-story towers with 204,386m2 office space, 9,290m2 of retail facilities on 6.8ha of land.
The first tower includes the construction of a 13-story, 54,348m2 office tower on a seven-story parking deck with ground floor retail space on 1.6ha of land, and the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.
The second tower includes the construction of a 175-room hotel, office space, and retail space.
The third tower includes the construction of office space, retail space, shops, food courts, and entertainment facilities.
Cooper Carry & Associates has been appointed as the architect, Troutman Sanders LLP has been appointed as the legal advisor and Cushman & Wakefield as the lead consultant.
Holder Construction Co. has been appointed as the construction contractor for the first tower.
State Farm filed plans to rezone the remaining 5.2ha of land.
On May 19, 2014, construction works on the first tower commenced.
In September 2016, construction works on the first tower completed.
Demolition works on the project site for the remaining two towers is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2017 and construction works on the two towers are scheduled to be completed in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
