The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex comprising 600 housing units on 19ha land.
It includes the construction of retail units, commercial buildings, a two-lane bridge, a community hall, parking and related facilities, and the installation of safety systems.
The development will include a new two-lane bridge along Freedom Way to provide an extra entrance to the development off of Jefferson Avenue, and Liberty Parkway will be widened from Freedom Way down to Oyster Point Road.
Cline Design Associates has been appointed as the landscape architect, Saunders + Crouse Architects as architect, Burgess & Niple as the civil engineer and Kimley-Horn as the design consultant.
On March 3, 2014, GCV submitted a revised planning application to the council.
In August 2014, the Peninsula Airport Commission and city recommended the City Council to approve the revised plans.
