Gold Coast City Council (GCC) is planning to construct the Gold Coast light rail stage 3A in Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a 7km light rail system to link Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads. It includes the construction of seven light rail stations and parking facilities, the laying of tracks, and the installation of track lighting and signalling systems.
On March 18, 2017, GCC issued a tender for the project’s preliminary business case study, with a submission deadline of April 11, 2017.
GCC is in the process of conducting public consultations on the proposed route from June 4 to June 23, 2017.
Construction works are expected to commence in 2019, to complete by 2021.
