The First Potash Ventures (FTV), a partnership between Encanto Potash Corp (EPO) and Muskowekwan Resources Ltd. (MRL), is planning to undertake the construction of Muskowekwan Potassium Production Plant project in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The project involves the construction of potassium production plant with a production capacity of 5 Million Tons Per Annum (MTPA).
The project includes the construction of processing unit, extraction unit, storage unit, laboratory and warehouse, the installation of equipment.
MDH Engineered Solutions Corp. (MDH), a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, provided the technical data in support of determining the suitability of the site for the key tailings management area.
The environmental assessment of the site is being conducted by Stantec Consulting Ltd. Pre-Feasibility Study is completed for the project by Novopro Projects Inc.
On April 23, 2013, the EPO announced that they have added SNC-Lavalin to the development team for their "Feasibility Study" for the Muskowekwan project in Saskatchewan.
SNC-Lavalin's scope of services in this project will be to perform services around the plant utilities and required infrastructure.
In February 2013, FTV completed pre-feasibility study.
In April 2014, Muskowekwan First Nation (MFN) voted in favor to approve the project.
In October 2015, FTV signed an MOU with Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation of India for a long-term supply arrangement for muriate of potash (MOP).
In April 2016, Ecanto finalized the terms for their MOU with Metals and Minerals Trading Company of India (MMTC)
Feasibility study activities are underway.
