Duqm Beach Touristic Resort LLC (DBTR), an investment alliance between the Xsite Group and Al Jazeera International, a subsidiary of Al Jazeera Satellite Channel Corp., is planning to build a mixed-use community in Duqm, Oman.
The project involves the construction of a mixed-use community on 45ha of land, to be developed in phases.
The first phase includes the infrastructure work for development of commercial facilities.
It includes the construction of two beach resorts, an entertainment and recreation center, residential units, a school, commercial facilities, a shopping center, an office space, parking and related facilities.
On May 13, 2015, DBTR entered into an agreement with Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZAD). Under the terms, DBTR was granted the land for the project.
