Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) is planning to undertake the construction of a bridge replacement project in Beirut, Lebanon.
The project involves the construction of two U-shaped bridges.
The first bridge will serve traffic coming out of Jal El Dib and accessing Beirut. It will be constructed near the Bo Concept store in Antelias.
The second one will serve Jounieh commuters going to Jal El Dib and Antelias. It will be located near the Mazda showroom on the coastal road.
The project includes the construction of protection structures, roads, pillars and other related infrastructures, and the installation of lights and overhead signals.
The project is fully funded by the State Government.
In May 2014, the Lebanese cabinet has approved the project.
In October 2016, The ministry has approved the plans and land acquisition process is underway.
In May 2017, The Council of Ministers approved the design of the project in the form of L2 instead of 2 U.
The project involves the construction of two U-shaped bridges at Jal El Dib in Beirut, Lebanon.
The US$48 million project includes the following:

3. Construction of roads
