BMW South Africa Pty Ltd (BMW SA) plans to undertake the construction of a regional distribution facility in Midrand, Gauteng Province, South Africa.
The project involves the construction of a 32,000m2 regional distribution facility (RDC). It includes the expansion of a BMW headquarter building, the construction of warehouses, storage units, distribution units, loading and unloading facilities, an administrative space and parking facilities.
The US$16 million will be spent on developing the RDC and the remaining US$16 million will be on expansion of the headquarters.
Attacq (ATT) has been appointed as the developer for the project.
On March 23, 2017, a sod-turning ceremony was held on the project.
