The project involves the construction of a 200MW wind power plant. It includes the construction of a substation, access roads and related infrastructure, the installation of 60 to 70 wind turbines and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
The turbines are distributed across active farmland south of Mason Hall-Kenton Road.
In August 2014, Apex was exploring the feasibility of the project development.
In June 2017, Apex has secured land for the wind farm.
