Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) is undertaking the replacement of existing Interstate 30 Red River Bridge located between Hope and Texarkan, Fulton, Hempstead County, Arkansas, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 397m new bridge to replace the existing bridge.
The project includes the construction of bridge deck of 12.8m wide each direction, two 3.6m wide lanes and 3m wide shoulders for each direction of travel, supporting walls, long switchback ramps, concrete pavements, pedestrian ways and other related facilities.
In June 2015, Jensen Construction was the awarded the US$37 million construction contract for the project development.
On September 17, 2015, the construction activities on the project commenced and are underway.
As of February 2017, 60% of construction activities were completed.
Construction activities are underway and slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2017.
