Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (ACP) is developing the Corozal Container Port Terminal in Panama.
The project involves the construction of a container terminal with a capacity of 5 million TEU container of 20 feet, docks, container yards, offices, warehouses and related infrastructure.
The new terminal will be developed in two phases. The first phase will have the capacity of 3.2 million TEU of 20-foot container and the second phase will have the handling capacity of 1.8 million TEU of the 20-foot container.
Technical studies of feasibility, demand, environmental impact, conceptual design and financial model work are completed on the project.
In October 2016, tender work was started but there were no interested parties even though four companies had been pre-qualified. These four companies were Terminal Investment Limited, SA of the Netherlands, PSA International Pte of Singapur, Terminal Link of France and APM Terminals BV of the Netherlands.
On March 3, 2017, tender process was cancelled due to lack of proposals.
ACP is planning to launch a new tender to build this project.
The project involves the construction of a container terminal on an area of 120ha in Colón, Panama.
The US$1300 million project includes the following:

4. Construction of offices
5. Construction of warehouses
6. Construction of related facilities
