The report provides updated information and data about the activities, investments, marketing strategies and product strategies of Georgia-Pacific, Halyard Health, Jinjiang Xingtai Non-woven Products Co, KNH Enterprise, Kuraray, Mogul, Saudi German Nonwovens, Tenowo, Toyobo, and Unitika. The report also provides data on the size of the nonwovens market and the sales achieved by these ten smaller producers. Many of these producers are benefiting from strong demand for nonwovens for medical applications resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Tenowo has repurposed its US lines for making nonwovens for automotive applications so that it can produce nonwovens for medical applications, and it has developed several new products for use in face masks and other medical items. Saudi German Nonwovens has developed anti-static and alcohol repellent materials while Unitika has developed a new type of medical gown. At the same time, a number of producers are benefiting, or are set to benefit, from various investments. Kuraray has started up production on a new melt blowing line while Mogul has started production on two new melt blowing lines. KNH Enterprise, meanwhile, has started up a high end melt blowing line at a new site in Taiwan and is expected to start operations at a new site in China in 2022.
