Economy of Germany 2025
Description
Germany is an advanced economy with a large industrial base and a very high share of manufactures in its exports. For several decades it has been occupied with the challenge of integrating the former Eastern territories following unification in 1990. At this time it can be said that the internal migration from East to West has ended and even reversed slightly and the East now has a modern industrial base though with a lower share of large employers compared with the West. Challenges on the horizon are Trump's tariffs and competition from China in EVs and renewables.
