Global Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielding Sealing Rubber Materials Market Growth (Status and Outlook) 2025-2031
Description
The global Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielding Sealing Rubber Materials market size is predicted to grow from US$ 9234 million in 2025 to US$ 13200 million in 2031; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.1% from 2025 to 2031.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielding Sealing Rubber Materials (usually EMI gaskets, Rubber strip), are made of electrically conductive elastomers such as silicone or fluorosilicone provide environment sealing, thermal insulation, and shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI). They support a variety of fabrication methods, are available in materials that meet tough standards, and can be supplied with conductive adhesive backings for ease-of-installation. There are many types of EMI shielding materials, but electrically conductive silicones provide gasket designers with performance and versatility. Specifically, EMI gaskets seal the gap between two mating surfaces. Like other types of environmental gaskets, they seal out the external environment or seal-in to prevent leakage. What makes EMI gaskets different is that they also seal against conducted or radiated EMI that can interfere with circuits. When this electromagnetic interference “noise” reaches the EMI gasket, the signals are negated and the resulting electrical current is sent to ground. Silicone is normally an electrical insulator rather than an electrical conductor, but the addition of metal or metal-coated particles imparts the necessary electrical conductivity.
According to the IATA, the total volume of air passenger traffic in 2022 increased by 64.4% compared to 2021. Global passenger traffic for the whole year was 68.5% of pre-pandemic (2019) levels. Total global aviation revenue grew by 43.6% to $727 billion in 2022. In 2022, global airlines were expected to have a net loss of $6.9 billion, significantly better than the net loss of $42 billion in 2021 and $137.7 billion in 2020. According to data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in 2022, the cumulative operating income of the entire industry was 632.89 billion yuan, down 15.8% from the previous year. The loss was 217.44 billion yuan. Among them, airlines achieved operating income of 336.48 billion yuan, and the loss was 177.12 billion yuan. The airport achieved operating income of 77.01 billion yuan and the loss was 47.62 billion yuan.
