This IDC study introduces the CIO's role in using collaboration practices and systems to help drive digital transformation (DX). It is intended to help CIOs understand the types of collaborations that may be needed for DX and includes a use case–based framework for identifying the components needed for different types of collaborations. It also identifies conditions that are necessary for successful collaboration-driven DX. The study answers four questions about the role of collaboration in DX:
