This IDC Perspective is one of a four-part series and examines the changes in the outsourcing model that will change as a result of cloud computing and cloud services. IDC worked with the Centre for Outsourcing Research and Education to assess this hypothesis, in terms of impact on people, pricing and costs, security and governance, and automation of service delivery.Security is the most important hinderance to cloud adoption for most organizations and the topic of security has risen to the board of directors in organizations of all sizes.
