This IDC Insight presents highlights from this year's Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona. While the tablet market is undergoing significant transition and recording slower growth than that in previous years, exhibitors continued to introduce new tablets at both ends of the price spectrum. Jolla introduced a tablet version of its Sailfish OS, highlighting the necessity for platforms to support multiple form factors. Multiple vendors introduced new tablets in all screen sizes aimed at both the enterprise and the consumer market. Clearly, tablets still play a role in a mobile world.
