Low-Power WAN Deployments in Asia/Pacific

This IDC Technology Assessment provides guidance and insights from early LoRa IoT network deployments in Asia/Pacific and elsewhere. "Telecom carriers that have good 3G/4G coverage can build LoRa networks at minimal cost, although greenfield and nontelecom operators will need to take into consideration the cost of cell site acquisition, rental, and backhaul. Both approaches have plenty of potential and will most likely coexist in many markets," says Bill Rojas, adjunct director, Telecom Research, IDC Asia/Pacific.
