This IDC study covers the actual market situation with the objective of improving workstyle by means of utilizing existing or implementing new mobile devices and mobility solutions, among the generally widespread workstyle transformation. Many user companies cited reducing overtime, flexible workstyle, and improving labor productivity as issues they faced in workstyle transformation. However, mobility solution efforts made by most of these user companies stop only at a level in which they can use email outside of office. Thus, IDC believes that many companies made no progress beyond the threshold of the transformation, which is the review stage (such as labor regulations review), and failed to arrive at the idea of transforming workstyle using IT. "IT suppliers that seek business opportunities in workstyle transformation must not simply provide solutions required from user companies engaged in the transformation.
