Japan Server 2015 Top 10 Predictions
This IDC study presents 10 major trends in the Japan server market in 2015 and their possible effects. It provides an overview of changes that may occur in the market in 2015 from the perspectives of hardware, software, networking technologies, influences from various markets related to servers, IT spending trends among user companies, the state of competition among vendors, economic and social conditions, and other considerations.
Satoshi Fukutomi, IDC's server group manager says, "Continuing to design and manufacture hardware such as mainframes, business servers, and RISC/IA-64 servers — as well as peripheral devices for such hardware — entails considerable costs, as does continuing to strengthen operating systems and otherwise engage in the server business. Server vendors should formulate more advanced strategies, including the possibility of partnering in certain areas with other companies with which they compete, to protect their customers' IT assets and to maintain the profitability of their own lines of server hardware business."Please Note: Extended description available upon request.
